Tanya Kersey's Celebration of Life

Hi, my name is Amber, and I created this page in support of my best friends, Brittany, and Monique Love, who have just lost their mother, Tanya Kersey.

Tanya Kersey was a visionary and a trailblazer who dedicated her passion to Black Hollywood through advocating and mentoring independent filmmakers, the Hollywood Black Film Festival, and Black Talent News. Although she is no longer here, her legacy will live on forever.

Tanya faced many health issues, starting at 12 when she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Years later, Tanya also fought through kidney failure and Graves’ disease with her daughters by her side. She was a true fighter, yet Tanya was uninsurable and did not have life insurance due to her conditions. Her health declined progressively towards the end of her life, and her daughters and sister supported her financially to keep up the costs. I want them to be able to celebrate her life and send her off in the most beautiful way without the financial burden. They are trying to grieve their mother and sister.
